DICOM Conformance for use with VistA Imaging Systems
NordicNeuroLab is proud to announce that nordicBrainEx has completed DICOM Validation testing required by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) and has been approved for use with VistA Imaging.
VistA Imaging is a system used for integrating clinical images, scanned documents and other non-textual data into the patient’s electronic medical record.
The validation testing has been conducted on behalf of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Patient Care Services. VHA and the DoD Military Health System (MHS), representing all clinical care programs that use imaging equipment, consider these requirements essential for interoperability between imaging equipment and government hospital information systems. Other agencies are also encouraged to adopt these requirements as the basis for DICOM Conformance.
Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense have hospitals globally, serving military veterans, active duty military, as well as their families. With this compliance NordicNeuroLab will be able to provide these hospitals with neuroimaging software in support of offering the best patient care.
